Classification of Shari'ah

Classification of Shari'ah

Basically, Shari'ah(Shari'ah Kubra) can be classified into three:

(i) 'Aqidah: linguistically, the term 'Aqidah, is derived from the word 'Aqad which means tie or knot. From the Islamic point of view, 'Aqidah means strong belief in Allah the Almighty, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and the Hereafter in the heart of a person.
'Aqidah is the main foundation in Islam and a starting point in order to be a good Muslim. It is reflected by the activities done by him. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) describes Islam as a building where its foundation is 'Aqidah. The foundation of 'Aqidah in Islam is the six pillars (rukn) of Faith (Iman). The said sic pillars (rukn) of Faith (Iman) are as follows:

1) Belief in Allah.
2) Belief in Angels.
3) Belief in Divine Revelations.
4) Belief in the Messengers.
5) Belief in the Hereafter.
6) Belief in the Divine Will.

(ii) Shari'ah Sughra or Fiqh: Shari'ah Sughra is also known as Fiqh or Islamic Law. Fiqh is the understanding or knowledge of Shari'ah rulings relating to human conduct derived from their respective particular evidences.

(iii)  Akhlaq: In Islamic context, Akhlaq is the practice of virtue, morality and manners. Akhlaq covers all aspects of Muslim's behaviour, attitude and work ethics which influence his acts. The importance of Akhlaq in our life can be seen from the following sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w): Narrated by 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: Prophet Muhammad said: "The best among you are those who have the best manners and character" [Reported by Bukhari].

So basically, Shari'ah Kubra consist of three elements:
(a) Aqidah.
(b) Fiqh/Shari'ah Sughra.
(c) Akhlaq.

What is Shari'ah?

WHAT IS SHARI'AH?

The term Shari'ah carries two meanings: (i) the first relates to the commands of Allah the Almighty which encompasses all aspects of human life; and (ii) the other relates specifically to the Islamic law or Fiqh.
In order not to confuse the readers, the former will be termed Shari'ah Kubra while the latter will be termed as Shari'ah Sughra or Fiqh. However, for ease of references, the term Shari'ah will be used mainly for Shari'ah Kubra while the term Fiqh will be used mainly for Shari'ah Sughra.
Shari'ah literally means path or way to a watering place in the desert. Since many Arabs who lived during the time of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) were desert dwellers and were influenced by the ways of desert; water and direction leading to water place were essential to their life.
In the religious sense, Shari'ah means the way which directs man's life to the right path. From the word 'the right path' therefore, came the meaning 'law'. According to Imam al-Qurtubi the Shari'ah means a different commandments of Allah and revelations for us to follow. Meanwhile, other scholars define Shari'ah according to its literal meaning in which the Shari'ah is the injunctions revealed by Allah to the Prophet Muhammad for us to follow the way of ad-din/religion that is Islam.
The word Shari'ah also has its correlation with the word 'din', which literally means 'submission' or 'following'. Shari'ah is the ordination of the way shown by Allah through His Prophets, whereas 'din' is the following of that way by man.
Shari'ah, conceptually, refers to a set of rules, regulations, teachings and values governing the lives of Muslims. These rules, regulations, teachings, and values cover every aspect of life, including worship, morals, individual attitude and conduct, political, social, economic, criminal and civil aspects.
Therefore, Shari'ah principles are more than Fiqh, covering the total way of life that includes faith and practices, personal behavior, legal and social transactions. In other words, Shari'ah is a comprehensive principle of a total way of life.

Ketirisan Iman.

Ketirisan Iman..

Sekian terima kasih. Wallahuahlam.

Hello!

I have not been writing for  a long time and now I want to share with you all about  active income versus passive income. Before these most people advocated their children to study well and get a better education for better job in the future so that their life will be more easy and guarantee. However, for me that theory is only for the past during the industrial age and no longer suitable in this 21st century 2016 because industrial age already ended in 1989.

If you say a better job like professional careers can give you a better life today, I don't agree with it. This is because, now if you get higher income you will need to pay higher tax and you need to work hard in order for you to survive during this hard time of recession in economy, inflation in which a lot of stuff in the markets are more expensive.

That is what we call as active income, you need to sacrifice more time to work for you to get more money, in other words you work for the money. On the other hand, if you find money through passive income you need to make a business, I mean a big business but of course you need to start from the start point because no one reach the peak of the mountain without hiking and climbing.

After you are strong enough in business, try to make an investment, just deposit a small amount of money as your starting or capital and learn from the investment process, then you increase the amount of deposit from time to time. There are 3 types of good investment
  1. Real estate investment.
  2. Shareholders or stock markets.
  3. Knowledge royalties.
You also can try to invest in forex but remember not to use your savings, retirement plans and medical care insurance for your deposit or capital! Make an account that is only for investment and please not to use all your investment account's money in one deposit! If you want to add more capital you can add when you gain profits from your investment.

Thank you for reading ^^

                                                             -Imam An-Nawawi-

Bab 71: Tawadhu' Dan Menundukkan Sayap -- Yakni Merendahkan Diri -- Kepada Kaum Mu'minin
(Riwayat Muslim)

                                                      Assalammualaikum(SABAR)
"Wahai org2x yg beriman! Mohonlah pertolongan kpd Allah dgn Sabar dan Salat. Sungguh, Allah berserta org2x yg sabar."
(Al-Baqarah: 153)
# "Keutamaan org yg kematian anaknya lalu ia bersabar dn redha. Allah SWT berfirman, "Berilah khabar gembira kpd org2x yg sabar."
‪#‎Bab‬ ke-041: (Kesabaran itu hanyalah pd awal kejadian)
Umar berkata, "Alangkah baiknya mmperoleh separuh beban pd 2 sisi lmbung binatang tunggangan.
(Al-Baqarah:145)
‪#‎Nabi‬ bersabda, "Barangsiapa yg mngambil harta org lain dgn mksud hendak merusaknya, maka Allah akan merusak dia, kecuali dia bersabar dgn baik. Lalu, mngutamakan org lain, meskipun dia sendiri sangat mmbutuhkan, "[10]
Riwayat Imam Bukhari
Tafsir Ibn Kathir:
‪#‎Sabar‬-patience ÷ 3 jenis
1)Seseorang utk mengelak kesalahan dan dosa.
2)sebagai tanda beribadah dn ketaatan.
3)Kesabaran yg diperlukan dlm mnghadapi penderitaan dn kesusahan sebagai mandatori, seperti bertaubat.
Kedua adlh yg terbaik.
‪#‎Allah‬ telah nyatakan cara terbaik utk mnghilangkan kesan2x penderitaan dn kesusahan adlh sabar dn solat.
‪#‎Sesiapa‬ yg mmperoleh kualiti ini akan tergolong dlm mereka yg sabar di mana Allah akan menegur dn mnyambut (apabila mereka berjumpa Allah pd hari kiamat kelak); rujuk surah al-Ahzab (33:44), dgn izin Allah."
